Perangkat ini mempunyai empat mode bentuk yang berbeda: notebook, tablet, display, dan tent.
Untuk mendukung empat mode tersebut, Acer mengembangkan teknologi bernama Acer Snap Hinge. Yaitu dua kaitan yang menghubungkan tablet dengan keyboard, menggunakan dua buah konektor magnetik.
Layar 10 inch-nya sendiri menggunakan teknologi IPS. Sedangkan media penyimpanan perangkat ini terdiri dari dua jenis. Dalam mode tablet, kapasitasnya hanya 32 GB, sedangkan dalam mode notebook ada hardisk berkapasitas 500 GB yang terpasang di keyboard dock-nya.
Sistem operasinya menggunakan Windows 8.1 dengan Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 sudah terbundling. Aspire Switch 10 ini diotaki oleh prosesor quad core Intel Atom Bay Trail T.
